Senkō
Lighting
Light, given the weight of wood.
Senkō approaches light as something to be held by material. Wood gives it weight, warmth and a sense of permanence, so the piece remains a considered object in the room whether it is lit or not. Its character follows the timber chosen: pale and clear in maple, warm and even in oak, deep and quiet in walnut.
