The Studio
STUDIO HOFFENBARTEL is an independent design practice founded by Israeli designer Shay Hoffenbartel, creating sculptural lighting, furniture and objects.
Rooted in a deep appreciation for natural materials and craftsmanship, the studio works at the intersection of traditional woodworking techniques and contemporary design.
Through bending, layering and shaping wood, familiar materials take on unexpected forms - balancing softness and structure, simplicity and expression.
Each piece is developed with an emphasis on proportion, material honesty and a quiet, timeless presence.

Wood is not simply a material, but an essential part of the design language.
Its grain, flexibility and natural character guide the creative process, allowing forms to emerge through a dialogue between intention and material.
The result is a collection of functional objects that feel both sculptural and effortless - designed to exist naturally within the spaces they inhabit.
The Designer
Shay Hoffenbartel is an Israeli designer and a graduate of the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), where his final project received recognition for excellence.
His practice focuses on the possibilities of wood, particularly bent-wood techniques, bringing together hands-on experimentation, craftsmanship and a contemporary approach to form.
Through STUDIO HOFFENBARTEL, he develops lighting, furniture and objects that reflect a personal design language shaped by material, movement and restraint.
